Daniel J. - Phase 2 - The Wise Maid

Greetings Daniel!

A few suggestions below, but this is definitely moving in the right direction!

Phase 2 Result: 11/11 Requirements Achieved

Metronome Clearly Audible? Yes
"Best" Tempo Selection? Yes
Rhythm/Note-values understood? Yes
Rhythms accurate to the click of the metronome? Yes

Overall Rhythm Comments from Timothy:
Nicely done! Keep an ear out for the occasional lead on the click, or a few runs of "playing at the front" which really just means that your gracenotes are opening a little early in anticipation of the click. Gracenote size is somewhat big just yet (I suspect due to that anticipation/early opening), but acceptably so, i.e. not a huge issue, but just something that can help you achieve that Total Eclipse we're all looking for! @Timothy-Gatehouse

Correct Melody Notes? Yes
Hole Coverage Good? Yes
Crossing Noises? No
Correct Gracenotes? Yes
Missed Gracenotes? No
Gracenotes Too Big/Sloppy? No
Gracenotes Out of Sync? No

Overall Basic Melody Comments from Timothy:
Over the next few weeks I encourage you to play the Late on Purpose game. Wait for the click to hit your ear so that your gracenotes/note changes open because of the click, rather than "landing" on the click. This is going to make you initially feel like you're a little late to the click, but it's easier to catch up to the click than it is to slow down and meet it. The bonus is that this approach will encourage even better gracenote quality. As this slight "front of the click" playing is the only issue I am hearing, I will say "Enjoy Phase 3!" @Timothy-Gatehouse
