Drum Fanfare: Shotts and Dykehead Live in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

Let's bring back the Drum Salute! This is the Drum Fanfare from the 'Rise' concert by Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band in Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall during the 2017 Worlds Week. It was composed by Andrew Lawson and Ian Morris (a drummer in the corps). Brushes are used on the snares in one part and some basic shakers and a vibraslap are used as well. Decent headphones are recommended to enjoy the full dynamic range of the recording.

The United States Armed Forces has historically had a very close relationship with the British – so the spread of the bagpipes was inevitable.
