Started playing at age 9yrs. My father was the Australian Champion at the time and he was my first tutor. Joined the Australian Defence Force in 1969 and continued piping, albeit quietly (otherwise I would have been thrown overboard or shout out through a torpedo tube.  Came third in Australian Championships as a Junior in 1970. Played with Terang Highland, Rats of Tobruk, Victoria Police and Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (as a guest piper ONLY). Hiatus until January 2010 when I joined City of Newtown PB/Commun Na Feine PB. In 2017 I became Grand Piper to the Grand Master of Freemasons Victoria
