Hi I best start at the beginning

My Father plays I followed the band I am currently with in a pram from day dot.

At the age of 6 we moved to South Africa where my Father joined the Durban Caledonian Society Pipe Band, a couple of  years later in a bid to spend more time with my dad, at the age of 10 I started to play the side drum, did not get to competing standard, At 13 I took to playing tenor drum, at competing standard, at the age of 15 I was advised to go on the bass where I stayed for a total of 12 years, whilst staying on bass I moved back to England at the age of 20 and joined the band my Father started in Warrington Pipe Band, on my time with these instruments I had the pleasure of playing at a good standard competing band  in grade 3 and grade 2.

I moved on to the pipes at age 27 with Warrington Pipe Band,

In this time I have solely been a band player doing parades and competitions in grade 4.

In my solo career I play weddings, funerals and functions I have played for the Queens 90th birthday celebrations where I was invited to play with the Cape Town Highlanders, and I played solo for Princess Anne in Warrington Town centre when she visited to the town to commemorate the anniversary of an explosion that happened here 25 years ago killing 2 boys.

I am the main tutor in the pipe band for both pipes and tenor drum and recently been made pipe sergeant of the band
