Started on the practice chanter in 1984, and then got transferred.  Never really got on the pipes.  In 1996, re-started and worked on correcting many bad habits.  Started with the Billings Caledonian Pipes & Drums, piping with them starting in 1997/1998.  In 2005 got dragged to Washington, D.C., and took a couple of years off.  Then started piping again with the Fairfax County Deputy Sheriff's pipe band until if folded.  Then played with the City of Alexandria Pipes & Drums.  In 2012, escaped back to Billings, Montana and started up with the only band in town again.  After a couple of years, acted as the music instructor leading chanter practice.  In 2016, I became the Pipe Sargent and in 2018, became the Pipe Major.
