My Dad was a piper (learning from Aggie Wallace in Hawaii at the end of the Korean War).  I'd always wanted to play, but picked up other instruments instead.  At 50, I decided that if I didn't learn pipes now, I never would.  So I found a teacher and started lessons.  Since then, I've attended Ocean Park Piping School and The Celtic Arts Foundation Winter School.  I joined Dojo U in May of 2020 and have been unlearning lots of bad habits and creating better sound and technique.  I love the program and the awesome people I've met online.  One day I hope to meet them in person!
