I've been interested in bagpipes for three years and have a chanter that I've practiced on for a year now, and I aim to get a bagpipe this year. I am involved in indoor track, so my schedule is rather tight on Mondays and Wednesdays. I play trombone in high school, now as a senior. I read music very well (NYSMA level 6), but I am new to fingering on the bagpipe. I believe I first became interested in bagpipes after hearing a band play during a fourth of July parade. Aside from the instrument, the culture and history is interesting; I appreciate the stirring tune Will You No Come Back Again, that represents the peoples' devotion to Bonnie Prince Charlie.
