Marina Von T. - Phase 2 - The Braemar Gathering

Greetings Marina!
Hey now, that was a pleasant listen! Some notes below, but I'll let the numbers do the talking!

Phase 2 Result: 11/11 Requirements Achieved

Metronome Clearly Audible? Yes
"Best" Tempo Selection? Yes
Rhythm/Note-values understood? Yes
Rhythms accurate to the click of the metronome? Yes

Overall Rhythm Comments from Timothy Gatehouse:
Very nice tempo choice! Some notes did sneak to the front of the click in parts, but you pulled it back and got it into hand for a majority of the tune. This is good, because it means you're tracking the click and adjusting. This takes time. Watch out for gracenotes that are landing on the click, rather than triggered by the click. Gracenotes are to bagpipers what the Pluck of a string is to a guitarist; these are our primary rhythmic device so we should avoid "playing at the front" of the click. Listen back to your recording and see if you can identify this. Then, exercising extreme patience and following the click rather than anticipating it, see if you can get this "Triggered" timing to work for you. You may feel suddenly a lot more relaxed when playing. @Timothy-Gatehouse

Correct Melody Notes? Yes
Hole Coverage Good? Yes
Crossing Noises? No
Correct Gracenotes? Yes
Missed Gracenotes? No
Gracenotes Too Big/Sloppy? No
Gracenotes Out of Sync? No

Overall Basic Melody Comments from Timothy Gatehouse:
Nice navigation all around. I have nothing bad to say about any of your gracenote/note changes/sync. You're on it for this phase for sure! Other than these minor front of the click moments mentioned above, this was a good pass. Keep building the patience for the click while you work on your Phase 3! Slàinte mhath! @Timothy-Gatehouse
