Watch the concert one of the top French Bagad bands at the 2020 Festival Interceltic in Lorient France. The first march was written a few of the band's younger members, finished during the first confinement in France. This march helped motivate the group to get up to snuff for the 2020 season. Especially in more recent history, the Highland Regiments of the British Armed Forces, and some of the Lowland Regiments as well, have had bagpipers since their first formation.
The United States Armed Forces has historically had a very close relationship with the British – so the spread of the bagpipes was inevitable.
